After I signed up for the 911 bloggers tribute at 2996, I was eager to get started, so I immediately started working on my assignment gathering background information about the person I was assigned to: Paul Ambrose..........what an amazing young man!
I honestly thought it was going to be an easy task, but after my initial attempts of searching the net, I was overcome with emotion. I had a hard time dealing with my mixed emotions of being sad, angry and happy all at the same time. Sad and angry because of the circumstances which ended his short life, but happy to know that this person actually lived and was able to make a difference in the world and leave a lasting impression on us all.
What could I possibly do or say about this remarkable human being who's life, work and accomplishments continue to be a tribute to humanity even beyond his lifetime?
So what can anyone of us do to remember a man who's light continues to shine brightly all on its own?
The answer is simple: Keep the Paul Ambrose dream alive by supporting others who follow in his foot steps and continue to do good work in his field .
I found out that Dr. Ambrose's parents set up a scholarship in his memory immediately after the tragic loss of their beloved son. They know what their son was most passionate about.........which is working toward improving health care in our country.
So, if you would be willing to make a contribution, checks should be made out to the Marshall University Foundation, and earmarked for the School of Medicine in memory of Dr. Paul Ambrose.

I recently called Marshall University and talked to several people to confirm that this information is correct.
Rest in peace Dr. Ambrose, we will never forget you.
Thank you for this wonderful tribute!
