For Leadership Among Resident Physicians

The American Medical Association’s Resident and Fellow Section (AMA-RFS) invites you to submit nominations for the 2007 AMA-RFS Paul Ambrose Award for Leadership Among Resident Physicians. The AMA-RFS educates resident and fellows on issues of interest and importance to their lives (work hours reform, GME funding, public health issues, patient care, student debt, and other areas), trains future leaders for organized medicine and gives residents a direct input into the AMA’s policymaking process.  The AMA-RFS is the largest resident organization in the country.

In Memory of Paul W. Ambrose

Dr. Paul Ambrose, 32, of Washington, D.C., was a senior clinical advisor with the Office of the Surgeon General who worked toward improving health care in his country with a special focus on minorities.

He was on board American Airlines flight 77 on his way to Los Angeles for a conference on adolescent obesity when his flight was forced to crash into the Pentagon.
