Voters' anxiety level continues to build in anticipation of the November 2nd judgement day, yet true leadership with clear vision remains to be seen, as the nation seems to be even more divided now.  Nevertheless I suspect conservatives will come out ahead, simply because they are the ones who are more determined and more passionate about change this time around.

I always say if we want peace in the Middle East to stand a chance we have to tell our politicians to back off, or better yet, Muslims and Jews would need to get together and tell the rest of the world to back off and let them make peace amongst themselves all on their own.  Sure they can do it!

If you look back in history, whenever Muslims and Jews lived together in harmony, their combined forces, with knowledge, science and commerce made their communities thrive.
Sadly in our lifetime, it's almost as if they are purposely being manipulated to be at odds with each other, living in constant turmoil and kept apart only to serve other people's political and economic agendas.

Jewish businessman Robert Harush who grew up in Ashkelon spends fortune on renovation of large Muslim house of worship in Montereau, in effort to promote co-existence

 

An unlikely benefactor. An Ashkelon resident who made a fortune in the European real estate business has decided to pay for the construction of a mosque in France for the benefit of the local Muslim community.

 

Father of four Robert Harush, 58, grew up in Ashkelon and having completed his military service tried his luck in the real estate business in Europe. His success has won him many hotels and buildings and he is estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of shekels.

Muslim, Orthodox Jew to run Teaneck

(JTA) -- A practicing Muslim and an Orthodox Jew have been chosen to run a New Jersey city.

Mohammed Hameeduddin was chosen last week by the Teaneck, N.J. township council to serve as mayor and Adam Gussen was chosen as deputy mayor. The sitting councilmen were appointed by the township council each for a two-year term.

The men attended middle school together in Teaneck and both attended Rutgers University, according to ABC News.

Does Barack Obama's harsh treament of BP prove that he's anti-British?

Well, at least one Brit thinks so.

This is by far the harshest criticism I've seen hurled at Obama regarding the way he's handling the BP oil spill disaster so far.

The author goes on listing a number of things to support his claim that Obama is prejudiced against Great Britain.

One important thing he forgot to mention though...I'm not a fan of big oil myself, I prefer renewable energy, but if BP is forced to go out of business and file for bankruptcy as a result of the tight noose around its neck, who's going to end up paying for the clean-up?  The American taxpayers?  How will this affect the American economy?

I was talking to one of my sisters recently who lives in Amsterdam and I asked her to tell me what she thinks of Amsterdam's former mayor Job Cohen.

Without hesitation she responded: "He's my idea of what a politician should be like.  Not only does he look the part, he actually does what he says he's going to do, unlike most of our politicians.  He has this natural ability to command respect and put you at ease, sort of like a father figure really, and when all hell breaks loose, you know you're in good hands because he'll take care of it and make you feel that everything is going to be alright.  Sadly, we have too many politicians that look or act like they just rolled out of college, too high on ambition and self-gratification, and absolutely no interest in doing what's good for our country and the people."

New York Times Magazine's Russell Shorto sort of paints the same picture of Mr. Cohen, but in a much broader sense, digging deep into Holland's complicated sociopolitical, historical and multicultural fabric, explaining Cohen the man, the politician and his mission to save Holland from the brink of collapse as a member of parliament.

WTF is all I can say about this one!

US Right-Wing Sponsors Geert Wilders

Dutch populist newspaper De Telegraaf reports that Dutch Politician Geert Wilders is being sponsored by U.S conservative groups and right-wing multimillionaires.  Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been collected in the U.S in recent months to defend Wilders in his criminal case in The Netherlands, where he's being indicted for inciting hatred and insulting Muslims.

The David Horowitz Freedom Center in Los Angeles is raising the funds for Wilders.  The organization says that it has collected a substantial amount, with six figures, for Wilders.

Dutch Tea Party

At the rate the "Tea Party Express" keeps moving, it was only a matter of time before it made its way over the Atlantic and kept on going around the world, but now that the Dutch Tea Party is here, who knows what might happen. ;)

Unlike their American counterparts, the Dutch Tea Party people - of course being Dutch and all- call themselves liberals, even though somewhat conservative/right-wing in nature.

Ever Since I can remember I've always rooted for VVD, but not this year tough.  This time I'm rooting for PvdA in the upcoming Dutch parliamentary elections (June 9th), purely because I believe in Job Cohen and Ahmed Marcouch.  These are people with a solid track record on taking care of business with a NO-nonsense approach and getting things done.  Holland needs more problem solvers like these in charge of government.  So goodbye Mr Balkenende and company, it's time for you to go now.

Job Cohen has done a tremendous jobs as Mayor of Amsterdam for the last 9 years and he is now fulfilling his current role as the party president for PvdA and "lijstrekker" in the upcoming parliamentary elections. 

"Lijsttrekker" is the Dutch term for a "prime candidate" to lead a party in the election process.  After the election this person usually gets a leadership position, either as a Minister or a Prime-Minister.

I'm sorry to say this, but I think that as it is right now, the Dutch Tea Party is a complete waste of time.
