I am a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew and a Buddhist too. If you don't like it, then this place is not for you, but as long as you don't force your beliefs on anyone, you're welcome to join in, it doesn't matter if you're a liberal, a republican or just simply you.
I was talking to an American friend of mine about the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque", which is not about a mosque btw, but a community center (we're being told)...and he said he thinks that all it's intended to do is "provoke". He said he is against it, but he's also against those making so much noise with their hate propaganda trying to stop it.
He said that to him it's like someone making a stinky (<~actually he used a different word here) in a crowded space...he knows it's inappropriate and he knows all too well that it's going to bother the crowd, but he does it anyway and there is nothing you can do about it, because he has the right to do it.
He made me laugh, and I couldn't agree with him more.!
A few weeks ago I read an article that was shared on Facebook, which
reported that some Muslims in Britain's medical field refuse to wash their hands
out of religious modesty.
I was flabbergasted! I thought it was one of the most ridiculous things
I've ever heard and dismissed it as a big fat lie and merely an attempt to smear
Muslims unnecessarily, as if we didn't have plenty of problems to address as it
is. But I'm not so sure about that anymore after reading Dr. Qanta Ahmed's very
own experience with radical Muslims in the medical field, which I find far more troubling.
Please do read what she has to say, I assure you it will boggle your
Afternoon dissolves into evening. I peer out
of my office in the Royal London Hospital, spying the window that once
framed the Elephant Man. A century later, a new and equally grotesque
spectacle enthralls—in the street below, a well-fed British Pakistani
distributes cassettes. Transplanted Wahabi women, black-gloved, clad
head-to-toe in black abbayas, faces masked by niqabs, snatch the recordings, nodding brief
salaams. Other women, too busy, rush by in damp, rain-streaked chadors.
I watch the figures until they disappear into the dank Whitechapel tube
station. Muslim men stuff the cassettes into their grubby Adidas
jackets, worn over thobes, the traditional Arab male dress.
Only a sprinkling of stolid British police officers reminds me that,
under the lapping October tides of Western European Islamofascism, this
is still London. [continue reading]
A Facebook look-alike was recently launched in Pakistan in response to "The Draw Mohammed Cartoon Day" and out of revenge against the social networking giant Facebook, for allowing offensive images of the prophet Mohamed to be posted on its site.
Several thousand members have already signed up there in the last 3 days and the site's owner(s) are aiming to sway Facebook users to switch over to their copycat site, hoping to cause some serious damage to Facebook. They say they welcome everyone, regardless if they're not Muslim.
Yikes! I don't think Facebook is going to like this one bit and I don't think this was such a good idea either, but here it is: Millatfacebook.com
The American Muslim comedian trio going by the stage name "Allah Made Me Funny" is currently giving away free tickets in Holland to everyone named "Henk and Ingrid" who wants to see their show.
So what's the catch?
No catch really, just poking fun at Geert Wilders who recently hit a home run
with one of his typical divisive remarks as an attempt to drive bigotry down the
infield. In his remark, he used the names "Henk & Ingrid" to describe the
average Dutchman/woman and "Fatima & Ali" as the average Muslim immigrant,
basically saying that he wants to see to it that the native Dutch are taken care
of for a change instead of Muslim immigrants all the time.
As outlandish as Mr Wilders often sounds and as much as I'd prefer to dismiss
him as Ahmadinejad and Kaddafi morphed into one and nothing but a clownish hater
that makes me laugh with some of the insane things he says, he really does bring up
sensitive issues at times that do call for further examination and objective
scrutiny. Too bad his populist ideas are mostly ill-intended and always aim to
alienate and marginalize specific segments of the population.
Watch this....and remember, "he who laughs last, laughs best".
Don't worry, be happy!
Hey remember that old tune? Ever wonder what happened to the guy who sang it?
Well, apparently he got so tired of hearing that tune, he actually couldn't stand it anymore after hearing about it so much and even started hating it so much that he disappeared into the sunset, not to be heard of for a long long time.
First off, it may be a controversy only because some insist on making it so.
Some suggest that Miss USA 2010 may not be an American citizen at all and want to see some sort of proof indicating that she actually is. Others say yes, she is an American, but she is also a Muslim Arab Lebanese whose relatives have ties with terrorists.
If that wasn't enough, now there are some old pictures of her floating around from a "stripper contest" she was involved in a while back.
And oh yeah, even Daniel Pipes chimes in, suggesting that Rima Fakih only won the Miss USA pageant because of Affirmative
Action or Positive
Discrimination as it is called in some countries, like the United Kingdom
and The Netherlands. He then goes on listing other minority beauty contestants, who won pageants in the past, to prove his case.
Dutch populist newspaper De
Telegraaf reports that Dutch Politician Geert Wilders is being
sponsored by U.S conservative groups and right-wing multimillionaires. Hundreds
of thousands of dollars have been collected in the U.S in recent months to
defend Wilders in his criminal case in The Netherlands, where he's being
indicted for inciting hatred and insulting Muslims.
The David Horowitz Freedom Center in Los Angeles is raising the funds for
Wilders. The organization says that it has collected a substantial amount, with
six figures, for Wilders.
I got word from Ahmed Marcouch himself and one other source who's a close
friend/associate of his saying how moved he is, expressing his appreciation for
all our support with this petition. And I too must thank you all from the
bottom of my heart for your support and helping raise awareness.
A great big hug to all! :)
Normally I don't put all that much faith in politicians, but with Ahmed
Marcouch it's different, mainly because when I read the newspapers, it appears
that he didn't set out to be where he's at right now with his political career,
he's paving the way as he goes purely with his NO-nonsense approach to whatever
ails the community and just takes care of things. He's now in the position to
possibly become a key lawmaker and a staunch advocate for minorities, the
disadvantaged and education at a national level, purely by popular vote.
At the recently held municipal elections in The Netherlands he was
positioned last on the list of candidates by his political party (PvdA) in
Amsterdam (at #29), but he ended up coming in 2nd (with a little over
12000 votes), securing a spot as a city councilman in Amsterdam. This was
probably due to all the great things he has accomplished in the few years that
he's been district mayor in a highly troubled part of Amsterdam. During that
time, not only did he manage to ease tensions caused by widespread ETHNIC
CLASHES and clamp down on HOMOPHOBIA, which had reached a critical level among
Muslim youth, he actually succeeded in tearing down the entire neighborhood
where the Muslim extremist who murdered filmmaker Theo van Gogh grew up, to root
out evil and send a strong message of TOLERANCE, DIVERSITY and FREEDOM above
all. And the fact that he's a practicing Muslim fighting against
homophobia....I myself as a (non-practicing Muslim) find it truly remarkable.

Thanks for the update. It is very interesting for me to learn of Ahmed Marcouch's message to be one of hope of TOLERANCE,
DIVERSITY and FREEDOM.
Unfortunately in the world today, Islam and Muslims, and even those
who appear to be of Arab ethnicity have been unfairly classified and
categorized as being radical fundamentalists who threaten and plague the
Western World. That fabrication must be addressed and corrected. I
applaud you for taking the time to thoughtfully post a petition on Change.org to enlighten
all regarding this issue.
Keep up the good work, and please keep me informed accordingly.
