With the country up in arms over new TSA screening measures at airports, some American Muslims are making the case for limited security profiling.

“As an American Muslim, I’ve come to recognize, sadly, that there is one common denominator defining those who’ve got their eyes trained on U.S. targets: MANY of them are Muslim,” Asra Q. Nomani wrote this week in The Daily Beast, explaining why she would be comfortable with profiling as a security measure.

Though seemingly counter-intuitive, other Muslim leaders contend that many in their community hold the same view.

Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, president and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, told The Daily Caller that most American Muslims would be amenable to some form of limited profiling.

“I think ultimately we as a community need to understand, it is one thing to be profiled and questioned — I’d be proud of that,” Jasser said. “Hopefully that doesn’t become a slippery slope where we have our rights infringed for no reason and I think those are two different things. Good police work and good investigation is very different from changing our innocent until proven guilty system.”

Jasser did not hesitate to add that profiling alone will not thwart the smart terrorists who are able to obscure their identity and intentions.

“Remember we are dealing with an ideology, not anything that you can profile so if they are smart they will manifest alternative ideologies and conceal those things,” he said.

Truth is, we have a Bill O'Reilly problem in the world!  Unfortunately there's seems to be a pandemic of ignorance like his going on around the world and the worst part about it is, it's intentional and by design.  Can't get any worse than that.

To be honest, O'Reilly used to sound somewhat intelligent at one time....a long long time ago.  Then he morphed into this arrogant, annoying, uncivilized talking head, who clearly enjoys his gift of blab as a professional bigot/agitator, with little or no substance at all. 

It is unfair and a grave injustice to Muslims all over the world to attribute terror attacks committed in conflict zones due to political upheaval, such as Israel/Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and various other areas around the world as Islamic Terror, not to mention the fact that in those conflict zones, the overwhelming majority of the victims are Muslims themselves.

When terror attacks in the name of Islam are committed elsewhere in the world, then by all means yes, classify them as Islamic terror.  But even then, when you look at the facts from various sources, Islamic terror hardly stacks up against various other extremist terror groups, which are often homegrown nonetheless. 

Leave it to the media to shift blame.  When a Muslim commits a crime they never fail to mention his religion and/or ethinc origin on the front page news.  When others commit a crime, oh well, it's just another statistic, no ethnic or religious sterotyping, plus they'll be lucky to make the news, let alone the front page. 

If we really want to solve the problem, let's concentrate on the bad guys and stop alienation of all Muslims based on the actions of the few.

A conference attended by thousands of Muslim clerics, scholars and community leaders in India has endorsed a religious ruling against terrorism.

The ruling or fatwa was issued earlier this year by an Islamic seminary.

It said that Islam rejected all kinds of bloodshed and the killing of innocents for selfish and politically motivated gains.

This is great!

Now let's see a universal fatwa against terrorism co-signed by every Muslim cleric who wishes to keep his job and continue practicing his profession in good faith, for the good of mankind and for goodness sake.

Will justice be served if the Bali bombers get the death penalty?

Human Rights Watch says "there is no clear evidence that the application of the death penalty serves as a more effective deterrent against criminal activity than other forms of punishment". 

That may be so, but we're dealing with a horse of a different color in this case and even still, the older I get the more I believe the death penalty is the easy way out for the worst criminals in our society. 

The Bali bombers killed 202 people!  Only monsters would commit such heinous crimes and more than likely they're not afraid to die either.  So what's the point?

What's even worse, they consider it an honor to die for their bloody cause and probably look forward to their rewards in heaven for their martyrdom.   

They're relatively young too, so instead of giving them the death penalty, solitary confinement for the rest of their miserable lives is the worst form of punishment I could think of.

A MAJOR international human rights group today called on Indonesia's president to commute the death sentences of the three Islamic militants responsible for the 2002 Bali bombings.

New York-based Human Rights Watch said the death penalty was not an appropriate punishment for the three, despite condemning the terrorist attacks as "horrific and inexcusable acts".

It has written an open letter to Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono urging him to halt the executions.

"We write to urge you to commute the death sentences of Amrozi bin H. Nurhasyim, Ali Ghufron (aka Mukhlas), and Imam Samudera, three men who are facing imminent execution," Human Rights Watch wrote.

Indonesian officials last week announced the three men will face a firing squad over the attacks in early November.

It has stepped up security at major "vital installations" across the archipelago to guard against possible attacks in the lead up to, and after the executions.

A Muslim Indian seminary which is said to have inspired the Taliban has issued a fatwa against terrorism, insisting that Islam is a religion of peace.

Senior clerics from the 150-year-old Darul Uloom Deoband issued the edict saying they wished to wipe out terrorism. "Islam rejects all kinds of unjust violence, breach of peace, bloodshed, murder and plunder and does not allow it in any form," said the rector, Habibur Rehman, to the cheers of thousands of students. Many held placards saying "Islam means peace", while others chanted.

"The religion of Islam has come to wipe out all kinds of terrorism and to spread the message of global peace," Mr Rehman added.

The Deoband institute was established in the aftermath of the 1857 uprising against British rule, an uprising that was brutally suppressed by the imperial forces. Highly influential, it controls thousands of smaller seminaries and madrassas around the world, from Britain to Afghanistan.

Of Britain's 1,400 mosques, about 600 are run by Deobandi-affiliated clerics. Seventeen of the UK's 26 Islamic seminaries follow Deobandi teachings, which produce about 80 per cent of all domestically trained Muslim clerics.

Analysts say the move to speak out against terrorism would be welcomed by the overwhelming majority of India's 140 million Muslim population, many of whom believe the image of their religion has been tarnished by the actions of a small number of people.

I am really saddened by Benazir Bhutto's violent death. 

Despite the fact that she was just as corrupt and sinister as those she was up against in her quest for power, I don't think she deserved to die.  She was a product of her own society, merely doing her job as the embodiment of the dirty politics and the mobster mentality that gave birth to her country in the first place, the Islamist nation of Pakistan, "land of the pure" as they call it....reminds me of "Iran".

What about the “9-11 ? 10-10” written on the upper left corner of the postcard?

Someone points out that the possible significance of a 10/10 date is the day the US Congress gave President George Bush authorization to use military force against Iraq.  Others fear that it may be the terrorist's planned date for carrying out a terror attack.

So why is this sicko targeting schools?  What do all these schools have in common?  Is this some angry kid playing a dangerous game or is there more to it than that?

What if he's asking you to guess the number between 9 and 11? 

The answer is 10.

He sent out 9 postcards to get his sicko message across.....but what if he's trying to say that there is a total of 10 postcards and he's waiting to personally hand-deliver postcard #10 out of 10 on the day he will carry out his "jihad boom"?
