I am a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew and a Buddhist too. If you don't like it, then this place is not for you, but as long as you don't force your beliefs on anyone, you're welcome to join in, it doesn't matter if you're a liberal, a republican or just simply you.
My little girl and I love playing this game where we make up words for laughs. Meaningless words, fun words.....
But words can be so powerful and mean sometimes, especially coming from boys.
I've been puzzled lately about my teenage daughter's drastic change from a pretty outgoing, confident young lady to a complete introvert, shying away from the center of attention she used to love so much. Of course becoming a teenager suddenly and the hormonal changes that come along with it don't help any, but as it turns out, she has a stalker who's making her life hell at school.
I am tempted to call his parents to make them aware of what their son is up to and tell him to back off.
Just the other day he grabbed my daughter by her hair forcefully, tied a rubberband in it and messed it up pretty bad. Long story short, the dean ended up cutting off about three inches of her hair to get rid of the mess. Ever since then, she's discovering all kinds of bad things he's been saying about her behind her back, trying to alienate her from her friends, all because she wouldn't go out with him.
The idea sounds cool and original enough, but does nothing more than to piss off a few people and please jihadists. But didn't someone already come up with the same idea before by "hijabizing" public sculptures in Amsterdam?
A young Paris-based guerilla street artist who calls herself Princess Hijab (PH) has been "hijabizing" advertisements, spray-painting veils and chadors onto the lightly dressed models. MENASSAT had a chat with the mysterious artist who says she is fighting Jihad through art.

Due to bad economic times, I may have to stop blogging for a while.
I just switched my blog subscription to monthly instead of yearly. My work hours have been cut dramatically and I'm looking for a second job to supplement my income. In addition to that, in order to be able to afford my rent just in case I lose my job, I'm getting ready to move into a smaller apartment at the end of this month.
I've also completely lost interest in politics and world news, so I'm concentrating on finding more positive and upbeat ways to keep myself going.
I know everything will work out just fine in the end, so no worries. I hope we'll see each other again down the road, but in the mean time, you take it easy and let anything or anybody get you down.
