I am a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew and a Buddhist too. If you don't like it, then this place is not for you, but as long as you don't force your beliefs on anyone, you're welcome to join in, it doesn't matter if you're a liberal, a republican or just simply you.
JEDDAH, 27 October 2006 — As the first ever feature-length Saudi film began showing on Eid at cinemas across the Middle East, Saudis were unable to watch the movie in the Kingdom due to a restriction on cinemas.
“Keif Al-Hal” (How Are You), starring Saudi actors Mees and Hisham Abdul Raheem and produced by Saudi producer Ayman Al-Halawani, began premiering at cinemas across GCC countries and the Middle East except Saudi Arabia.
“How come we’re unable to see our own first ever movie?” asked 35-year-old Saeed Abdul Aziz, who is from Riyadh and presently on holiday in Jeddah.
Well, they're all serving their jail sentences nicely in Holland's toughest prison, as they should, but they're now complaining and even threatening to go on hunger strike if they don't get better treatment.
The prison has a point system in place to impose additional punishment on terror convicts who break house rules. The inmates get slapped with a certain amount of points each time they break the rules, and depending on the amount of points they accumulate, they can get punished with 4, 7, 10 or 14 days of solitary confinement.
The terror convicts complain to Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant saying that...
They don't like the fact that they get punished based on a point system.
They're not allowed to talk to relatives (on the phone or in person) unless the relatives have been thoroughly prescreened by the authorities.
The prescreening process is very slow and complicated.
They're not allowed to speak Arabic.
Calling out loud to talk to another inmate is not allowed either.
Terror convicts Nouredine El F. and Mohammed H. complain that they are not allowed to have phone conversations with their parents at all, because they don't have landlines, so their conversations cannot be traced.
Terror convict Samir A complains that he's not allowed to talk to his wife, because her prescreening has not been completed yet, but he can talk to his mother-in-law instead. He said when he called to talk to her recently, she put him on speaker phone and his 2-1/2 year old son got all excited hearing his voice. So the little kid started talking to his terrorist daddy and his terrorist daddy immediately received a warning and was told not to do that again or else...
Then he goes on complaining that he got punished with 7 days of solitary confinement last Saturday because he still had his feet under the covers at 8.05 in the morning, so he told them to crank up the heat so he can keep his toesies warm and was told there was no room for discussion.
They say if they go on hunger strike, after 5 days of starvation, they'll be taken to a prison hospital where they will be allowed to touch their kids and call relatives.
The leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Abu Hamza al-Muhajer, recently issued a decree to its supporters: Kill at least one American in the next two weeks "using a sniper rifle, explosive or whatever the battle may require."
Well, Abu Hamza al-Muhajer, I am an American too. Count me as the one of those you have asked your supporters to kill. ( read more....)
I was barely awake yesterday, enjoying my first cup of coffee in the morning when I opened an email that appeared to be sent by my friend Stefania at Free Thoughts.
The note said:
Stefania has invited you to connect as friends on LoveHappens.
Accept this invitation by clicking below:
So I clicked on the link and it took me to some stupid ass love site where you can either choose to be there for finding a love match or be there "to help".
Of course the unsuspecting little matchmaker that I am I chose to be there to help and boy did I help, I helped a lot!
Little did I know that I agreed to help spread a worm to other people's computers with a simple click of a button. The worm got hold of my address books on two of my email addresses and within seconds I started receiving replies from people who accepted the invite and others asking me if it was indeed me sending them the invite.
OMG suddenly I realized that some very important people at my job must have received the same invite from me, including the company owner! At this point I thought only my AOL email address got affected, so I started emailing people to warn them. It wasn't until a couple of hours ago that I found out that my gmail account was affected too.
Guys I'm really sorry about this, it's such a pain and so embarrassing!
I hateLoveHappens! I need to get back at those bastards somehow!grrrrr
